Sometimes, ‘Monthly Reminder’ will be short and sweet. Like this one.
I don’t ever want this to happen: I get funding. I start releasing my ideas. And someone says “WOW! Why on earth didn’t you tell us your ideas were that good?”
Seriously? (Haven’t I been saying that for well over a decade?)
So yes, let me make it abundantly clear — and I’m going to keep issuing these monthly reminders, until I get funding — yes, I really do believe I have the very best ideas and strategies and overall thinking for how to save the planet. But, just as you can’t get a Giant Sequoia seed to grow into a Giant Sequoia without water and sunlight, I can’t quit my job and devote myself full time (for up to two years) to releasing my ideas, unless I get funding. It’s that simple.
And by the way, I would be doing much more than just “releasing my ideas” — though that would probably occupy most of my time (getting my ideas down on paper in order to publish them online would be quite time-consuming). For example, launching a related podcast would be a good way to help disseminate those new ideas.
